Moving clothes, textiles, furniture and interior items is not a simple process that requires a specialist from the company – the carrier’s highly skilled and experienced, because you need to consider many factors affecting the process of transportation. These goods can be transported in different ways – by air, road or sea transport. The choice of means of transport depends on the distance between loading and unloading points, budget, transport time and other factors. Depending on the priority, the customer chooses one or the other mode of transport. As a rule, road transport is used for such shipments. Special vehicles with a simple name – “Clothes Carrier”, specially developed by designers, are used for clothes transportation.
“Garment carrier” is in most cases a low-tonnage vehicle made in the form of a trailer, semi-trailer or truck, with capacity from 1.5 to 5 tons and volume up to 40 cubic meters, designed for transportation of clothes. The interior of the “Clothes Carrier” must be clean, it is strictly forbidden to arrange the delivery of clothes by a vehicle that has a pungent smell in the cargo compartment. On the side walls of the body, a metal bar is installed on which clothes wrapped in polyethylene oilcloth or other material are hung on hangers. The design of the walls of the Clothes Carrier makes it possible to adjust the height of the bars and the distance between them. And a special bar, which is fastened to the bars with straps, firmly fixes the racks with clothes, not allowing them to change their position during transportation. Depending on the volume of clothing, a single bar can accommodate a different number of hangers. Often, transporting clothes also entails delivery of many different accessories such as mannequins, hangers, catalogues, etc.
Textiles are typically packed in crates, bales, bags, boxes, or wound onto reels for shipment. We use specialized vehicles of various volumes – from 16 m3 to 120 m3 and capacity – from 1.5 tons to 22 tons – for transportation of textile products. If necessary, the load may also be secured in the body of the vehicle by straps. When transporting textiles, attention is often given to maintaining a certain temperature and humidity conditions in the course of carriage to ensure their safety. International transportation of textiles is also possible in small consignments of joint cargoes, which makes it possible to reduce delivery costs. Air transport and sea container transport is used as an alternative to road transport: 20-, 40-, 45-foot containers. Terms of delivery of textile products directly depend on the choice of transportation method.
We use specialized vehicles of various volume from 16 m3 to 120 m3 and capacity from 1.5 tons to 22 tons to transport furniture of any size and shape, which allows you to move furniture in the proper form. Furniture removals require a certain approach and great care. First of all, disassemble furniture and pack all small parts in labelled bags, and larger items in boxes or very thick paper. Furniture is also pre-packed with bubble wrap. Corrugated cardboard or foam is used to protect against damage. The furniture is secured inside the van with special straps. The inside of the van must be lined with felt or other soft material that protects the furniture from rubbing against its walls.
